Immigration

The UK Government has always welcomed individuals able to invest substantially into the UK economy and provisions to allow entry for such individuals are being made ever more favourable under the points-based immigration system introduced in 2008.

As well as such ‘investors’ who are able to demonstrate that they have £1 million at their disposal, the UK welcomes ‘entrepreneurs’ who are able to invest in the running of business in the UK.  The rules for workers coming to the UK are changed frequently.  ‘Sponsored skilled workers’, individuals coming to the UK to fill a specific job vacancy are granted entry to the UK with proof of sponsorship from an employer; this includes intra-company transfers.

Assessing points as someone considering immigration status under one of these categories, and gathering the necessary evidence is a complex and intricate process, necessitating specialist legal advice to avoid error in application and delay.  At Johns & Saggar we specialise in advising business people regarding entry into the UK and on issues surrounding this entry, including the process of gaining British Citizenship and the entry to the UK of spouses and families.

We are proud to say that we have an excellent track record of gaining entry permission for dependants.

We can assist with the following applications:

  • Tier 1 Investor, Entrepreneur and General Highly Skilled Worker Category
  • Tier 2 Sponsored skilled workers
  • Temporary workers including charity workers
  • Sole representatives of overseas firms and representatives of overseas news agencies
  • Visitor visas including business and entertainer visitors
  • Settlement applications (Indefinite Leave to Remain)
  • British Citizenship applications
  • Migration for European Citizens
  • Fiancé and spouse applications
  • Family and dependant visa applications
  • Appeals and judicial reviews on immigration decisions

We will assess your immigration needs in line with the latest regulations, over the phone or in person, to indicate whether or not we can assist.  We speak to clients who are overseas or already in the UK and advise employers on immigration strategy.
