Jonathan Etuk is a lawyer with considerable experience in dealing with a range of legal disciplines.
He provides a specialist legal service to companies from incorporation and drafting agreements through to specific advice and dispute resolution. He has advised on high value commercial disputes and corporate governance.
Jonathan also deals with regulatory and licensing issues and regularly advises companies and individuals on compliance requirements with Ofcom, Transport for London (TPH) and sports governing bodies. He also advises media and entertainment companies on matters including BSkyB (EPG) channel purchases and commercial agreements.
Jonathan launched the firm's pioneering sports law practice and is a registered Football Association Agent. He is licensed to carry out all agency activities with football players and clubs. He advises players on all aspects of their career including media and sponsorship deals, endorsement contracts, image rights agreements, club disputes and transfers. Jonathan advises on High Court injunctions and enforcement actions to protect his client’s rights.
Jonathan takes great pride in his work in the community and has a strong pro-bono background. He was nominated as a role model by NARM (Naming And Role Model), a Heritage Lottery Funded project highlighting African British Male role models. He is also actively involved in sports development and the inclusion of under represented groups in all sporting disciplines. Jonathan sits on the Board of Trustees of British Athletes Development Fund. He advises the charity and its affiliates on a range of issues including preparation for the London 2012 Olympics and legacy issues after the games. Jonathan is an active member of a number of groups and associations including BSN (Black Solicitors Network), IAEL (International Association of Entertainment Lawyers), Sports Law Network and BNLF (British Nigerian Law Forum).
